Meet the Hall Family

We are the Hall family, adventurers at heart, who have embraced the world as our classroom. Phil & Alicia lead the pack. The oldest is currently serving a 2-year mission in Cameroon, and our second is learning through the independence of being 19 and out on her own. That leaves Gavin, Claire, and Hallie joining us as worldschoolers and digital nomads, seeking to learn from every corner of the globe.

Our journey began with a desire to live intentionally, focusing on what truly matters: family, faith, and cultural understanding. From the ancient streets of Rome to the vibrant landscapes of Peru, we immerse ourselves in new experiences, growing together as a family.

Our Travel Purpose

Connecting Through Faith and Culture

Our mission is to strengthen our family ties by sharing meaningful experiences across the globe. We believe in serving the Lord through acts of kindness and community service in every place we visit. By engaging with diverse cultures, we aim to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of the world around us.

Through our travels, we strive to educate our children beyond traditional boundaries, offering them a rich tapestry of languages, traditions, and histories. Our journey is not just about seeing new places but about connecting with people and learning from their stories. We invite you to follow along as we share our adventures and insights, hoping to inspire others to seek their own paths of discovery.

Latest from Our Travels

Visiting Thailand

A place of discovery!

Progress vs. Simplicity

As Trump, Musk, and DOGE crusade against government waste, I find myself concerned instead about private-industry waste resulting from government regulations. Have we built a society that prioritizes perfection at the expense of affordability, efficiency, and sometimes common sense? Have we already sacrificed our freedom in exchange for safety, all in the name of progress?

Historic Explorations

One of our favorite parts about World traveling is the opportunity to explore historical sites and call it “school”.

Cambodian Legacy

My words cannot convey the impressions and impact of learning these stories… I also can’t transfer the love I have in my heart for a people who have risen so far above…

A Humbling Perspective

While I still have a standard in the way I live or how I present myself, I’m learning that true unity and connection in society comes from seeing and treating each other as the same, giving what you can to help others, no matter their circumstance, no matter their status, and no matter what they have or don’t have.

Let’s Talk Food

Overall, Cambodia has given us the most unique food experience we’ve ever had!

Close Encounters

It was the most fun zoo experience we’ve ever had.

Reunited & New Acquaintances

We had the privilege of meeting a couple of families Phil taught on his mission here in Cambodia. They are the sweetest people and very hospitable.

A Cambodian Lifestyle

This has truly been the most unique experience any of us have ever had and Phil is loving being back where he served his mission.

Christmas in Dubai

Dubai was certainly a different experience.

Throw-away Culture

Throw-away Culture

I had heard and even used the term before, but I had no idea how deeply it was impacting me personally. Throughout the stages of emptying our home… there was a TON of garbage. Let’s just say I am reconsidering my consumption habits!

Let’s Talk Dirty

One of the many adjustments to our new place of residence is learning how to get the clothes dried when the weather isn’t cooperating.

Where to next?

Thailand is our next stop. After that, Phil picks up Bryson in Cameroon (just a couple days) and the whole family regroups in Jerusalem (we are VERY excited!).

We have a lot to consider as we then prioritize. The wish list is long, but it is a prayerful exercise to determine where the Lord will lead us next.
